Workshops

Join us for an open invitation to play with clay, exploring, building, shaping, rolling, smashing. We will have piles of clay on the table to dive into along with other materials and tools to explore. This is an open ended invitation. A teacher will be present to assist with any needs but no instruction will be given. Kids can make tiny sculptures to take home or giant collaborative ones.

Join us for some open-ended paper cutting and printmaking. We will be offering a variety of stamps and surfaces to print with to create collaborations or portraits or singular prints or cards.  Come create layered patterns and images.  This is a great opportunity to explore materials how kids want. A teacher will be in the studio to help with what you might need.

A handmade Menorah is something to be treasured forever. There is a basic anatomy to one but also a lot of freedom in what the structure looks like. This is a two-day workshop. The first Saturday we will build the menorah from a low fire clay by forming, sculpting, twisting, rolling a menorah leave it to dry. The next Saturday we will glaze it. They will take about5 days to dry fully before I will fire them in the kiln to be ready just in time to celebrate Chanukah. 

Join us for an hour of making clay Winter Fairy Houses . We have so many sparkly materials and some natural ones like seed pods and twigs and rocks and don't forget the snow to make little wintery house scenes.

What’s better than a hand-made greeting card. The kids will make their own using the foam printing technique. It’s a simple colorful printing process that allows you to make many cards at a time. They can be sent to relatives, given to teachers, strung together to make a banner or hung up as an ornament.
