Workshops

Join us in the studio for some artmaking with your little ones. We will have a variety of materials to explore each Saturday. One day may be clay and another recyled materials and another fabrics. We will have an example of a project using the materials but please make whatever your minds can come up with. You can check our Calendar for the material for OPEN studio. A teacher will be onsite to answer questions but not to instruct. Please plan for about an hour of engagement.

Join us for a printmaking workshop making animal portraits or a pet portrait. Using a carved layered printing technique we will make printing plates and create as many prints as you like in a variety of colors. This workshop utilizes drawing techniqes.  We will have lots of images of animals to dray but you are welcome to bring an image of your own pet to reference as you draw.

Join us in celebrating Halloween by making these spooky spider boxes using decorative papers, colored tape, stickers and more. We will look at different kinds of spiders and use watercolor along with oil pastel to make the spiders to pop up

Skulls, bats, cats, haunted houses and more. Choosre you own subject when creating your printing plate. The beautiful aspect of printmaking is that you can make as many prints as you like choosing different colors of paper and different inks. 

Join us in making some spoooooooky haunted houses. Using clay and some other natural materials and lots of spiders, flies, skulls, ribbons and more, kids will be able to sculpt their own dwelling, whether it be a cave, house, or castle. 

We have spiders, skeletons, skulls (which are different from skeletons), twigs (of course), moss and lots of creepy crawling insects for you to put together these eerie worlds in a jar. These make fantastic halloween decorations and super fun to create. Each child will get their own materials.

Join us in creating a spoky diorama. We will be using a few techniques for this scene, drawing, sumi ink painting, cardboard for collaging and many halloween ribbons and decor to finsih it off. 

You will recieve via email our curriculum for our Printmaking camp which pairs abstract printing methods along with some observational drawing. It will include 5 different printmaking processes which you can alter and use over and over again. The step by step instructions also includes a material list. 

You will recieve via email our curriculum for our Rainbow camp which explores color through mixing, using a variety of hues and values.   It will include 2 painting projects, a printmaking project and 2 sculpture ones which you can alter and use over and over again. The step by step instructions also includes a material list. 

You will recieve via email our curriculum for our Potions camp which pairs both imaginary potions that bubble and hiss along with recipes that use the power of herbs to heal and soothe like bath bombs.  It will also include instructions for fabric sun prints. We offer step by step instructions for each project along with images and a material list.
